The Kidney meridian is a yin meridian and is paired with the Bladder yang meridian.
In Chinese medicine the Kidney is said to be the storehouse of your life force. It is involved in filtering toxins and directing nourishing materials to where they are needed.
The kidneys, which are the body’s source of red and white blood cells, control the growth and development of bones and nourish the marrow. Anemia and immune deficiency may be attributed to weak kidney energy.
